The SEArcularMINE partners assembled in Barcelona to discuss progress to date and plan for the next stages of the project.  Kindly hosted by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) at their modern Diagonal-Besòs Campus campus, the meeting took place over two days in the warm Barcelona sunshine.

The SEArcularMINE project is nearing the end of the ‘Advanced Research’ phase.  The project had many successes and breakthroughs to report and has fostered a highly productive multi-disciplinary approach.  The project team has worked collaboratively to deliver ambitious milestones, KPIs and deliverables and is on track to continue to deliver projected results in a timely manner.

The next General Assembly meeting in June 2023 will open the third and final phase of the project where an Integrated Prototype, to extract critical minerals from seawater bitterns, will be assembled and tested.
