Antonello Raponi
Location: Turin, Italy
Position: Research Assistant at Politecnico di Torino
Antonello Raponi is a chemical engineer with extensive academic training and research experience. He obtained his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, master's degree in chemical engineering and sustainable processes, and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
His thesis, "Fundamental Research, Design and Process Optimization for Magnesium Hydroxide Precipitation: Development and Application of Modelling Tools to Support the Circular Economy" researched the development of a numerical framework for magnesium hydroxide precipitation modelling, integrating CFD simulations and AI-guided kinetic parameter optimization to predict particle size distribution and optimize the Mg-CGCR prototype.
Currently, Antonello serves as a research assistant at Politecnico di Torino. He is set to further his research career as a research associate at Purdue University in the near future. Antonello's key research interests include precipitation modelling using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Machine Learning techniques.
His work focuses on developing advanced models to better understand and optimize crystallization and precipitation processes. Antonello aspires to pursue an academic career, aiming to deepen his expertise in the field of crystallization and precipitation modelling.
